Holloway Vs. Edgar Set To Headline UFC 240 In Edmonton

The Featherweight Belt Will Be On The Line On July 27

It's a bout long in the making, and finally, UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway will meet former lightweight champion Frankie Edgar in the five-round championship main event of UFC 240 in Edmonton on Saturday, July 27.

Tickets for UFC 240, which airs live on pay-per-view from Rogers Place, go on sale on May 31.

Unbeaten at 145 pounds since 2014, Holloway has won 13 in a row in the division he has ruled as undisputed champ since 2017, a stretch that has seen him defeat Jose Aldo (twice), Brian Ortega, Anthony Pettis, Ricardo Lamas and Cub Swanson. But many believe his toughest test will be New Jersey's Edgar, whose wins over Chad Mendes, Jeremy Stephens, Yair Rodriguez and Swanson have him primed to join the exclusive club of two-division UFC champions.
